Ed Balls Says Yes

Today’s confirmation from Ed Balls that he supports AV is further evidence of the overwhelming backing for a Yes vote within the Shadow Cabinet.

The Shadow Chancellor has become the 12th member of the Shadow Cabinet to confirm their support for AV.

Also voting yes are

Douglas Alexander

Hilary Benn

Liam Byrne

Yvette Cooper

John Denham

Angela Eagle

Harriet Harman

Peter Hain

Tessa Jowell

Sadiq Khan

and, of course, Ed Miliband.

By contrast only Mary Creagh, Caroline Flint and John Healy are publically arguing against AV according to Labour List.

The balance of opinion in senior Labour circles is clearly stacked in favour of a YES vote.
