New Video: David Miliband Says Why He’s Supporting a Yes Vote
Today, David Miliband tells Labour Yes why he’s supporting a Yes vote in the Alternative Vote Referendum on May 5th.
He says: “I think a Yes vote in the referendum in May is important, because we are only half way through the democratic constitutional revolution that Britain needs to make it a 21st century democracy. AV will be important in making sure the House of Commons really does reflect the range of views across the country, it will make sure that the House of Commons is more in tune with modern Britain, and I think help the Labour Party become a national party that is able to speak to all sections of society again. I think it will be good for our Politics and good for our country.”
